♦ Luxury Resort Website — Concept Design
Malabar Hill is a concept for an ultra-luxury boutique resort perched above the ocean and cradled by the jungle of Sri Lanka. The design challenge was to translate a feeling — silence, seclusion, timeless design — into a digital experience that compels its audience to book.
The website leads with a full-bleed hero that puts the architecture centre stage, showcasing the resort's signature arched pool villas draped in tropical greenery. Every scroll reveals something new: the reservation widget for frictionless booking, a cinematic story section, villa type comparisons, immersive dining features, and a weddings & events showcase.
A warm terracotta and ivory palette — drawn directly from the resort's earthy architecture — creates visual continuity between the physical space and its digital presence. Refined serif typography communicates exclusivity, while generous white space gives the imagery room to breathe.
